Jennifer (Jenny) Bauman

Jennifer (Jenny) Bauman is the Director of Business Operations and Technology at GP Strategies for on one of their automotive accounts and is a member of her automotive client’s Global Learning Network. In her role, Jenny works directly with her automotive client’s Operations team as a strategic partner to drive technology integrations and enhancements that support the design, development, and implementation of learner-centric training and performance solutions. She also supports the client’s US Learning team as a member of their Global Learning Network, collaborating and supporting the global sharing of ideas and resources to support global learning initiatives. Jenny has been with GP Strategies for 4.5 years. She has been in her role as the Director of Operations and Technology for nearly a year. Before becoming Director of Business Operations and Technology, Jenny worked as an Instructional Designer and then Performance Consultant for GP Strategies on the same automotive account. Prior to her work at GP Strategies, Jenny was a Senior Instructional Designer at Quicken Loans where she was employed for approximately 12 years.

Jenny has been an active member of the Division of Organizational Training and Performance (formerly known as Training and Performance Division) since joining AECT in 2008. As a member of OTP, Jenny has held various leadership roles, including but not limited to: Student Representative, Secretary, VP of Communications (2 cycles), Division President-Elect/President/Past President (3 cycles), and Conference Planner (6 cycles). In addition to her work with the OTP division, Jenny was a member of the Leadership Development Committee (2020-2021), has supported the 2020 AECT International Convention as it moved to a virtual format during the COVID-19 pandemic, and assisted with volunteer coordination for the 2021 and 2022 AECT International Conventions. For her service with both the OTP division and organization overall, Jenny has been recognized with an AECT Presidential Distinguished Service Award (2021), Division of Organizational Training and Performance Nancy B. Hastings Distinguished Service Award (2021), and an AECT Presidential Special Service Award (2022).

Jenny is currently running for the position of Division of Organizational Training and Performance Representative to the AECT Board. In this role, Jenny how to continue her leadership growth in the organization as she works to service the needs of her division, advocate for all members and sharing their voice at the AECT Board level.
