Graduate Student Assembly
Ethics Committee Representative

Ashley McArthur
University of West Florida

Hello all! I am running for the Ethics Committee Representative for the Graduate Student Assembly. I desire to continue ethical considerations within GSA and contribute something positive to the AECT organization as whole; the position of Ethics Committee Representative allows me to do both. Additionally, I would like to continue my volunteer work with the GSA on such projects as the YouTube committee, webinars, and the newsletter. I also desire to assist with other initiatives as they are created. If elected, I shall also work to expand communications between the GSA and the Division of Organizational Training and Performance, for which I am the Vice President of Communications.

I am currently in the process of obtaining my Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Instructional Technology and Design from the University of West Florida. My main research interests focus diverse learners and in-the-field learning environments. Professionally, I work as a contracted instructional designer and human performance technologist. My current clients include agribusinesses, the Department of State, and the US Marine Corps. I also work as a graduate assistant at the University of West Florida where I conduct research and, perhaps most relevant to the position of Ethics Committee Representative, conduct course accessibility evaluations.

I greatly appreciate your consideration for the position of Ethics Committee Representative for GSA. Best of luck to all!
