My name is Yong Ju Jung, a Ph.D candidate in Learning, Design, and Technology program at Penn State University.

I believe that culture and context surrounding learners are critical for both learning and interest. This belief fits well with what CLT pursues and forms the basis on which I would like to get involved with CLT and serve my professional community through AECT.
My research foci are on investigating how interest and learning relate to each other and how technological tools can support interest development especially for children in informal settings. I have experiences working in multiple research teams, in which I collaborate with colleagues, listen to other opinions, merge different thoughts, and find a better solution. I think such experiences will help me to work with other representatives in the CLT division and support the division as VP of Special Projects.
