Matthew Boyer

Dr. D. Matthew Boyer earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in 1990, a Master of Education degree in Technology in Education from Harvard University in 2004, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Psychology & Educational Technology from Michigan State University in 2011. He has worked as a teacher and coach in Penn Manor School District in Pennsylvania and Parsippany-Troy Hills School District in New Jersey, a professional development instructor at Morris County School of Technology in New Jersey, a graduate teaching and research assistant at Michigan State University, a post-doctoral Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore, an Assistant Professor at Yeditepe University in Istanbul, Turkey, and is currently in his fifth year as an Assistant Professor in the College of Education at Clemson University in South Carolina. He has been a reviewer for AERA, GLS, and SITE professional conferences and served for two years on the Teacher Education SIG at ISTE. Over the past three years, he has been PI or Co-PI on funded research grants from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, the National Science Foundation, and the Department of Energy.
