Laura Gray
University of the West Indies and St. Leo University
I have over 20 years’ experience in education, with a B.A. in Secondary Education (English and social studies), a M.Ed. and Ed.S. in school counseling, and a Ph.D. in Instructional Design, with an emphasis in online learning. In addition to coaching dissertation students through the writing process, I am on faculty at both the University of the West Indies and St. Leo University, where I teach master’s level instructional design classes and serve as a capstone project advisor and course coordinator.
I have served as a reviewer for DDL presentation proposals for the past two years and have worked as the supervisor of registration volunteers at the annual AECT conference. Beginning in 2017, I will assist with the coordinating of conference volunteers. In addition, I have presented at AECT and other nationally-known conferences.
I have been a member of AECT for a number of years, am a hard worker, very dedicated to the DDL division, and am always willing to volunteer to assist when something is needed. I have years of experience as the recording secretary of my church vestry, and I believe that serving as recorder of DDL would help to involve me even more in both the division and the organization.
