Scott Warren
University of North Texas

Dr. Warren is an active member of the Division of Emerging Technology and currently serves as Past President. He has held several offices in the division including Communications Officer, Planner, and President. Dr. Scott Warren is Professor of Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas in the College of Information. His research examines the use of emerging online technologies such as educational transmedia, immersive learning environments, and games. His early work included creating the Anytown and Chalkhouse games to support traditional literacies and problem solving. His work includes The 2015 Project, Villainous, and Broken Window transmedia course experiences. Most recently, he founded The Koan School to experiment with systemic change in K-12 schools using a unique technology and communication-rich curriculum. Prior to working in higher education, he taught secondary social studies and English.

In addition to his work at the university and in the Denton community at large, Dr. Warren also serves as a reviewer for several academic publications including but not limited to: the Journal of Educational Computing Research, Educational Technology Research and Development as well as the Journal of Educational Computing Research.
